The Best-Selling Mirrorless Cameras for July 2013

The Best-Selling Mirrorless Cameras for July 2013

It’s the month of July, and as most people are getting ready to go on holiday, many are also trying to figure out which camera to buy to document these precious 2-3 weeks of freedom.

This month, we have a surprising entry in first place. It is the Canon EOS M, the company’s only contribution so far to the mirrorless market. It has been rumored that Canon will soon release a second model, and this has triggered in a significant price drop on the original EOS M. Furthermore, the addition of a firmware that has sped up the autofocus of the camera has made it much more appealing.

The Sony Nex 6 continues to maintain a firm grasp on consumer’s hearts, moving up from third to second place this month. It comes with a 16MP APS-C CMOS sensor, 10 fps shooting, full HD video recording, fast hybrid AF, and Wi-Fi capabilities. Considering its price tag of under $1000, this camera is a great deal especially for those who enjoy dabbling in both photography and video-making.

Taking third position is a new entry in the Top 3, the Olympus Pen EPL-3. It has been knocked down to nearly half its original price on Amazon. Important features include a 12.3 MP sensor, stabilisation technology in the body, blazing speed, full HD video, a tilting LCD screen, and WiFi capabilities. It is a great deal for the number of modern features you get!
