Flickr Photography Challenge: PORTRAITS – It’s time to vote!

01/02/2015 By Heather 1 Comment

Yup, it’s that time of the month again; time to vote for your favourite image submitted for the Monthly Flickr Photography Challenge held in association with Tyson Robichaud! (Time really does fly!) The theme for the month of January was PORTRAITS, as chosen by last month’s winner Giorgio Lumaconi.

Portraiture is a beloved genre in photography, and is both easy and difficult to realise at the same time. On one hand, subjects may be plentiful and willing but on the other, capturing the perfect expression and getting the light just as you want it takes skill and years of practice.

As always, it was a challenge to narrow our choices down to just three. However, after much deliberation, we do feel we made the right choice! Now that we’ve reduced the number to three, it is now your turn to choose the image you feel best fulfils the requirements of the challenge! From February 1st to 5th, we invite you to vote on your favourite image by using the poll below and on Tyson’s website. The winner will be invited to choose the theme for February 2015!

Good luck to the finalists and happy voting! Update: We’ve tallied the votes on both our websites and the winner is Manizkrishnan with his image Festive Spirit. Congratulations! We’ll be contacting you shortly to choose next month’s theme. 🙂

1. “New Goggles” by Brian Frank (chosen by Tyson)

2. “Festive Spirit” by Manizkrishnan (chosen by Mathieu)

3. “Matt Seattle” by Steve Mullarkey (chosen by Heather)
