Using the Panasonic GX8 and 4K Photo for Insects in Flight

14/09/2015 By Heather

Though I was excited to review the Panasonic GX8 for many reasons – not least because it is the successor to one of my favourite mirrorless cameras, the GX7 – the main pull for me as a macro photography enthusiast was the enhanced 4K Photo mode.

11/09/2015 By Heather

We all knew that the Sony A7s successor would arrive sometime this year – it was hinted as much during the A7r II press event we attended a few months ago – but none of us really knew when.

Then today, during the Sony IBC Press Conference, the announcement was finally made. Just as Sony took flaw-ridden A7 and A7r and transformed them into the extremely functional A7 II and A7r II, the company has added all the right bells and whistles to the new Sony A7s II.

Race the Train 2015 – Olympus OM-D E-M10 II Sample Image Gallery

26/08/2015 By Heather

Nearly two weeks have passed since this year’s edition of the Race the Train cross country running event took place here in Wales. Every year, runners come from all over the world to compete not only against one another but also against a steam train on our beloved Talyllyn Railway. Travelling from Tywyn to Abergynolyn and back again, the distance works out to be about 23 km or 14 miles. While it is possible to beat the train back to the station, only the fittest runners ever achieve this goal.
