A convenient all-in-one solution – The Think Tank Perception 15 Backpack Review

10/06/2015 By Mathieu

Packing for a journey can often be a nightmare when, on one hand, you have your photography gear to think about, and on the other, your personal items. Even if it is just one night, you’ll want to bring the essentials like clothes and cosmetics, just as you’ll want to be sure to have everything you need for your photo shoot, including not only the camera but your laptop and various accessories as well. The moral of the story is that you can easily wind up carrying two separate bags.

Think Tank Mirrorless Mover 20 Review – A camera bag made for mirrorless

26/05/2015 By Heather

Since “mirrorless” first became commonplace term to refer to any compact system camera, many accessory companies have been releasing products that carry the mirrorless label. One product that has met great success is the Mirrorless Mover 20 by Think Tank, one of three Mirrorless Mover bags of varying sizes designed specifically for mirrorless systems.

The Porteen Gear Compact Camera Bag – Design the bag you’ve always dreamed of having!

29/09/2014 By Heather

As with many of my discoveries, I came across Porteen Gear while browsing around Etsy for unique mirrorless accessories to test. I was immediately drawn to the elegant design, attractive form and classic colours that epitomise the company’s series of camera bags, but my heart was won over when I saw that the designer and company founder, Robyn Porteen, also produces a series of compact bags for mirrorless cameras. To my delight, she was more than happy to send me a bag to test and review.

Review of the Oliday Canvas Camera Bag for Mirrorless & Small DSLRs

29/08/2014 By Heather

When discussions turn to the topic of camera bags, photographers can become just as zealous as they do when they discuss the very cameras that inhabit them. Discovering the perfect bag for your gear and style of working is incredibly satisfying, but unfortunately it usually takes many failed purchases to find the right one. Does it have the right number of pockets? Is the strap comfortable? Is it weatherproof? Does it fit your camera with a lens attached? Does the style appeal to you? There are many questions you must ask yourself before settling on a specific model.

The latest bag we’ve had the opportunity to try is the handmade Oliday Canvas Camera Bag for mirrorless and small DSLRs. Compared to other popular camera bag brands, Oliday is relatively unknown, which is actually what piqued my interest in the first place as I was browsing around the Etsy camera bag store.

Mirrorless cameras belong to Cosyspeed camera bags

21/04/2014 By Mathieu

Update: check out the new Cosyspeed Streetomatic bag in our review here!

“The world belongs to mirrorless heroes” is one of the slogans by Cosyspeed, an emerging German company specialised in accessories for mirrorless cameras. After using the bags intensively for the past month, I can easily adapt that slogan and say that mirrorless cameras belong to Cosyspeed bags. Why? Because Cosyspeed takes the main philosophy behind mirrorless cameras, which is smaller and lighter gear, and adapts it to bags. The results are the Camslinger 105 and Camslinger 160, two belt bags that allow you to bring your camera anywhere more easily than with any other bag.
