Panasonic Lumix ZS100 / TZ100 Review – The tiny travel companion

20/06/2016 By Heather

The other week, Mathieu and I took a four-day trip up to the Lake District to take advantage of the unusually good British weather and indulge in some landscape photography. For a trip like this, I normally would have brought an interchangeable lens camera and a few lenses, but this time around I wanted a change, so I grabbed Panasonic’s premium travel zoom compact camera, the Panasonic Lumix TZ100 (otherwise known as ZS100 in the USA).

Fujifilm X-Pro2 Review – Substance over specs and the X-T2 ghost

07/06/2016 By Mathieu

I am probably the last to finish the “race” to publish a review of the X-Pro2 since its announcement in January. I’m not sure if I did that on purpose or not. When we rent or receive gear on loan, there is a specific deadline to meet so it motivates you to finish everything earlier. Sony a6300 Review – The autofocus champion!

25/05/2016 By Heather

One of the primary arguments against mirrorless cameras has always been the autofocus performance for action genres like sports and wildlife, and mirrorless manufacturers have been hard at work finding ways to close the gap with DSLRs. Panasonic GX85 / GX80 Review – Excellent value for the money

18/05/2016 By Mathieu

Sometimes you can just tell from the first tidbits of information that appear online that the camera is going to be good. Nothing replaces a thorough and in-depth test of course but right from the start, I was confident that the new Panasonic GX80 would not disappoint, and my three weeks of testing have confirmed that first feeling.

The Olympus Pen F Complete Review – A camera with personality

11/05/2016 By Mathieu

There is one thing I’ve always appreciated about Olympus cameras: they rarely leave you feeling indifferent. It’s not necessarily due to a specific feature or specification but rather a balanced mix of interesting capabilities and a design that delivers a pleasant user experience without sacrificing beauty. All this helps to create a positive feeling between the photographer and the machine.
