Hands-On with the Sony / Zeiss Vario-Tessar T* 24-70 FE f/4 ZA OSS

28/03/2014 By Mathieu

Last Saturday, we spent a very nice morning with the Sony Italia team led by Davide Grimoldi and Amedeo Novelli. Many recent products were showcased including the A7 and A7r. As for me, I was interested in trying the new Vario Tessar T* FE 24-70mm f/4 for the system and I wasn’t disappointed: there was only one sample available and I got the chance to try it right away.

The Review Preview: Likes and dislikes about the Sony A7

13/03/2014 By Mathieu

I’m taking my time with the Sony A7. I got it for Christmas and I’ve been shooting with it a lot ever since. Normally our complete review would already be online, but since it was a personal purchase, I decided it would be wise to hold off and gain as much experience with it as possible.

07/01/2014 By Mathieu

As we’ve mentioned in previous posts, I had the chance to shoot with two Leica Summilux lenses for a couple of days while in France and I’m fully willing to admit that I enjoyed every second of it. Back in Turin, this positive experience persuaded me to try other manual M lenses since I already had the adapter with me. My hands fell on two Voigtländer lenses, the Super Wide Heliar 15mm f/4.5 and the Nokton 50mm f/1.1.

16/10/2013 By Mathieu

There has been such an onslaught of rumours over the past few months about Sony’s plans to make a Full Frame interchangeable lens mirrorless camera that many of us were even beginning to wonder if all this talk was simply a clever ruse of Sony’s to get people talking about the brand.
