12 Architectural Pictures Taken with the Fuji X-Pro1 & the XF 14mm f/2.8

23/07/2013 By Mathieu

Last Saturday, I spent the entire day at the new Campus Einaudi University in Turin. I have been video documenting the entire construction for more than three years now, and on that day, we finished up our final shots using a drone and the Panasonic GH3.

Animal Reserve Near Aosta: The Fuji x20 JPG quality revealed!

04/07/2013 By Heather

It is more or less an established fact amongst photographers that the Fuji X-Pro1, X-E1 and X100s (that is, Fujifilm’s high-end mirrorless cameras) produce outstanding on-camera JPGs. The rich lifelike colours and impressive dynamic range are generated by Fuji’s innovative X-Trans sensor, which is now in its second generation and will continue to improve with every new X-series release.

Fuji’s Colours in Pralormo, Italy: An X20 & X100s Gallery

26/04/2013 By Mathieu

How many times have you woken up on what seemed to be a gorgeously sunny day, picked up your camera, chosen a destination and gone out hoping to take the most splendid pictures of your photography career, only to discover as you approach your destination that the weather wasn’t as you’d hoped?

Spring in the Langhe: Landscape Gallery with the Fuji X100s

14/04/2013 By Mathieu

Update: also check out our colours gallery.

Spring has finally made its appearance here in Italy. Keeping with our yearly tradition, Heather and I went to the Langhe region (Piedmont, Italy), famous worldwide for its wine and truffles. (In fact, many celebrities ranging from the likes of De Niro to rapper Jay-Z come here regularly to eat them!) It was a great opportunity to bring along my x100s and see how it would suit the landscape photography genre. The Fuji X100s was designed primarily for street photography, but the colour and tonal range capabilities of the X-Trans Sensor are very interesting for landscape shots as well. (You can read our x100s full review here).

‘The Rain It Raineth Everyday’ in Venice: A Black and White Fuji x20 Gallery

04/04/2013 By Heather

Update: Check out our x20 full review, homemade macro test, Photoshow gallery, Advanced mode test, and high ISO test.

The wait was almost unbearable. While the rest of the world seemed to be frolicking madly in the fields with the new Fuji x20 and x100s, neither had arrived in shops here in Italy. The vendors tried to reassure us, with one promise after another of a punctual delivery, and yet, there was no sign.

Now, before you go and assume that we are sick with some incurable camera fetish, you must know there was actually good reason for our desperation. You see, only a week remained before our five-day Easter trip to Venice, and in our minds, there really was no better place to test these two cameras than the most beautiful city in Italy!
